Emergency Planning and Management

Our emergency management mandate is to protect the health, safety, welfare and property of the citizens of Frontenac County from the effects of a natural, technological or human caused emergency.

We will support our local municipalities in the implementation and operation of their emergency plans. In addition, we will provide available resources as required during an emergency in order to minimize the impact on the community.

As a County, we are also required to maintain the primary and secondary locations of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) when an emergency is declared.

Our involvement in emergency management is legislated under the requirements of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
