- Big Sandy Bay
This is a hidden paradise on Wolfe Island. Following a 1.3 km hike from the parking lot, an oasis of white sandy beach awaits visitors. Check out the admission fees (cash only!) and plan ahead to ensure your trip is a success.- Find the entrance fees.
- If you plan on enjoying the beach a few times this summer, consider buying a seasons pass.
- Bring what you need or purchase snacks in the village on your way. There is nothing available for purchase at Big Sandy Bay.
- Once you arrive at the parking lot, there is a 1.3 km walking trail to the beach. The walk will take about 20 minutes. Strollers and wagons are permitted, bicycles are not. Pack appropriately for this walk.
- Pack out everything you pack in – leave no garbage behind.
- There is little shade at the beach, pack accordingly.
- Dogs are welcome on leash only.
- Big Sandy Bay is about 11 km from the village of Marysville.

The Wolfe Island Gallery was founded in 2018, and built on the legacy of the former Stone Heron Gallery. It functions as a non-profit collective that showcases fine arts and artisanal creations from the many artists living on or with connections to the Frontenac Islands.
