Frontenac County Council is an indirectly elected body comprised of eight councillors. They are the mayors and one additional councillor appointed from each of the four local municipalities: North Frontenac, Central Frontenac, South Frontenac and Frontenac Islands.
Municipal Mayors and Councillors are elected to four-year terms. Municipal elections are held in late October or early November.
