 Once chosen to participate in the selection process, you may take part in various stages including:

  • A pre-screen telephone call to discuss your skills and qualifications as they relate to the posted position
  • Technical skills testing such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, keyboarding or other job related testing specific to the qualifications outlined in the job posting
  • A panel interview with two or more members of the hiring team. The County of Frontenac conducts virtual interviews.
  • A minimum of three references, management/supervisory employment references are required
  • Satisfactory completion of a police record check or a vulnerable sector check if applicable

Fairmount Home employees who refer qualified candidates to work are eligible for bonuses that are paid-out as referred employees are hired and achieves set milestones.

Applicants may indicate the name of the employee who referred them to the County of Frontenac when they register for their Recruiting Self Serve account. The option is located at the bottom of the Details section in the Recruiting Self Serve account area.

Milestones 

For a new permanent full-time employee referral:

  1. Fairmount Home employees who refer a candidate who is hired to fill a permanent, full time position will each receive $75.
  2. When the referred new employee successfully completes the probationary period (60 worked shifts from the date of hire), the Fairmount employee who referred them will receive an additional $125.

For a new permanent part-time employee referral:

  1. Fairmount Home employees who refer a candidate who is hired to fill a permanent, part time position will each receive $50.
  2. When the referred new employee successfully completes the probationary period (80 worked shifts from the date of hire), the Fairmount employee who referred them will receive an additional $50.

For a new permanent casual employee referral:

  1. Fairmount Home employees who refer a candidate who is hired to fill a casual position will each receive $25.
  2. When the referred new employee successfully completes the probationary period (80 worked shifts from the date of hire), the Fairmount employee who referred them will receive an additional $50.

Criteria

  1. Referees must be actively employed at Fairmount Home in order to receive their referral bonus.
  2. The applicant must provide the name of their referee at the time of application.
  3. Referral bonuses will be paid via payroll and are subject to regular tax deductions for incentives.
  4. The referral program will be reevaluated each year to gauge its effectiveness.
