Glenburnie, ON – Frontenac County Economic Development staff ask all businesses in Frontenac to complete its first monthly COVID-19 Business Impact Survey. It includes 17 questions and takes approximately nine minutes to fill out. The survey will close at 8 a.m. on April 6 at which time staff will review responses to better understand how businesses in Frontenac are coping with the impacts of COVID-19.

Additional surveys will follow in the months of May, June and July as the national and local response to COVID-19 continues to change.

“I encourage all business owners in Frontenac County to complete this survey,” said Frances Smith, Warden of Frontenac County. “We’ve heard lots of personal stories so far, but this survey will provide hard data about how our businesses are weathering this crisis and will inform the decisions our County makes to provide appropriate support. By repeating the survey on a monthly basis, we will be able to understand how businesses are adapting to this state of emergency,” Warden Smith said.

“Over the last two weeks, businesses in Frontenac have made incredible changes in order to continue safely serving their customers,” said Richard Allen, Manager of Economic Development at the County of Frontenac. “We know that rapid evolution is going to continue, and this monthly survey will give us a real-time understanding of how business owners are managing through this unprecedented challenge,” Allen said.

Economic Development staff are also hosting weekly video conference calls with business owners in Frontenac. The calls begin at 1 p.m. on Thursdays, last for about an hour, and provide an opportunity for business owners to connect with peers to share challenges and successes. Business owners can visit to register for these calls.
