Emergency Management
The County’s involvement in emergency management is a requirement by Emergency Management Ontario in accordance with the Emergency Management Act and is to protect the health, safety, welfare and property of the citizens of Frontenac County from the effects of a natural, technological or human caused emergency. The County will support the local municipalities in the implementation and operation of their emergency plans as well as provide available resources as required during an emergency in order to minimize the effects of an emergency on the community. The County is also required to maintain the primary and secondary locations of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).
