Social Programs and Activities

The County of Frontenac actively ensures fair and equitable access to a variety of Social Programs and Services. We have provided a brief outline of our services below and invite you to follow the links to more detailed information for each service area.

As of January 1, 1998, the City of Kingston’s Social Services Division is the delivery agent for the Ontario Works Social Assistance Program, Provincial Child Care services and Social Housing services for the geographic areas of the City of Kingston and the County of Frontenac.

On March 27, 2000, the City of Kingston assumed responsibility for the administration of the Provincial Offences Court and the proceedings under the Provincial Offences Act (POA).
