The County of Frontenac’s Economic Development Office (EDO) provides the following services to the County and the Municipalities it serves:

Assists new and existing businesses in their efforts to develop or expand by
- Providing accurate and up-to-date market intelligence on the County of Frontenac.
- Facilitating private and public sector relations.
- Assisting clients in their efforts to identify and access senior government resources.

Assists local community groups in their economic development efforts by
- Providing planning and development support for projects.
- Assisting groups in their efforts to secure support and resources.
- Markets the region to attract new business investment and employment opportunities.
Federal Government Services
The Frontenac Community Futures Development Corporation (FCFDC) provides assistance to individuals or groups that are considering starting a small business in the Frontenacs, seeking advice or financing for an existing business or requiring assistance on a community project. Provincial Government Services
The Regional Economic Development Team office for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is located in Smith Falls. The Team is responsible for delivering the Rural Plan for Ontario - Strong Rural Communities: Working Together for Success – which focuses on three main areas – community capacity building and skills development, health, education.
